I don't. People do. Here's a timelapse of how long the glow last. The DX (this one) is the lowest (by far) which is why they're clearancing them I assume If you're playing in the day, $9 for a disc is still pretty good.

That sounds awesome. Unfortunately I'd probably get lost trying to navigate the courses at night considering it happens during the day lol

Glow plastic isn't just about how well it glows in the dark. A lot of times, it will have different characteristics than the regular version of the plastic, i.e. grippier/flatter/stiffer, etc. I don't know about this particular run, but other glow discs can be prized for their other qualities even if they barely glow in the dark.
