This is a very basic drill, the smallest 18v battery and the slowest charger. This might be worth 40 dollars to some but it's in no way worth 113 dollars as the claimes retail price.

my first drill as a homeowner. Tackle 80% of the work I do around the house: putting furniture together, hanging stuffs, drilling into studs.

This is definitely not construction grade where you will have to drill more than a few holes at a time.

Yeah I got this and the air pump and the vacuum and is all I have for the past 3 years. No complains and battery is still going.

How the hell did Home Depot determine the original price. The drill, battery and charger's original price is $50. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../326680222

By that logic, the drill bit is worth 63.03?

Still save like $10 and get a free drill bit so decent deal just don't think you are saving from $113. If this was the HP Burshless series then that would be a realistic original price.

Anyone looking to do ANYTHING more than the most basic of tasks is going to find the limit in this drill quickly.

I usually suggest kits like the drill/driver + 2 batteries that go on sale for $99/$129 every now and then instead as they will get you much further for the price. But this is all personal preference. Personally, i'd never recommend this type of product for anyone.

I got a Ryobi brushed set of tools for Christmas & this is the 1st drill I reach for because of this feature:
Comfortable lightweight design at only 2.8 lbs
Not for big jobs but nice if you have small jobs for the price. Same with their lighter weight sawzall also.

The multiple tool brushless sets are the better value though.

It's perfect for building IKEA furniture. It's not good for non pre& drilled holes. Weight-wise, this is MUCH easier to use if your wrists and hands aren't strong. My wife can't use the full size drills for more than a couple of minutes.

I have had this drill along with a bunch of other Ryobi tools with few complaints. It tackles most jobs around the house and yard no problem. It's so nice and lightweight I almost always grab it first over my bulky Dewalt. I like it enough that I might grab another 👍
