Does anyone know the tgp of this model? Can it get to 140W? It looks like upgrading the screen is very cheap! 1600p for only an extra $60! But RAM and Storage will both need upgrading and looks to be way too expensive on here, rather just buy some more of each elsewhere

Hi. HP doesn't state the TGP, but OMEN MAX's are supposed to be the highest performers of HP.

I just got the Acer Predator refurbished deal, which has a two year warranty and better specs on paper. Included an OLED screen, 32gb RAM, and the 5070ti. Came in at $1415.00 after tax.

Is this model better?

Anyone think it would be hard to ditch my Asus G16 for this?

If it's the Helios deal I'm thinking of, that GPU is 115w (supposedly can be tuned to 140), meanwhile this one is standard 140w

Your laptop has a 2 year warranty from Allstate and they're really good about any issues.

This model is a mid-tier to high-tier gaming laptop. And The predator is a mid-tier laptop. But overall not a huge difference.

I got this when it was $1296 but with the Ai 9 HX 375. This one has the ultra 7 255HX which is probably where the $ difference comes in. I've had nothing bad to say about it and handles everything I've wanted to play without issue. If you're on the fence, you should go for it. I don't see laptops with similar specs sell at this price often. Might be lacking in memory or hard drive space but those are easy to expand later.

For $60 more you can get a better screen too
16" diagonal, WQXGA (2560 x 1600), 60-240 Hz, 3 ms response time, IPS, micro-edge, anti-glare, Low Blue Light, 500 nits, 100% sRGB

Yeah, last month, but this time they're offering a free backpack, so that more than makes up for it.

$1,328.99 with education discount. Too bad their return policy sucks.
