This just got a big free update with a new map (Iwo Jima), two new weapons/vehicles AND a free 60-tier battlepass.

It's not even remotely like 6, 3, or 4. Not even in the same timezone. 2042 is MUCH better than it was at launch, but it's still laughably horrible a lot of the time. For $3, it might be worth your time. But otherwise, avoid like your crazy ex.

it's fun. you can play solo with bots and still unlock everything, while feeling pretty OP. I think for $3 it's worth that

No solo campaign only online silly helicopter/tank fight boring mostly. Hard pass even at $3 for me. Loved the older BF3 /4/ 1/ V which I own and play. Stopped buying with online only next releases.

Yes and the EA app installed (unlike Battlefield 6 which only requires the EA account). And secure boot in case anyone was wondering.

If you were playing through Xbox game pass in the past and want to keep progress, you need to buy through the EA store with the account that was linked to Game Pass. It's also $2.99 on EA. I'm not sure if progress can be transferred to Steam.

I have every BF game since 2. I don't really get the dislike for this one. I didn't like BF1 or 5 and this one in my opinion is not as bad as those. Then there is BF Hardline, almost like everyone forgets that game even exists.

Appears they will never make another Bad Company game. Which was the best out of them all. $3 and you get stuff for BF6. Seems alright if you are planning to get the other game.

Feel however you want about 2042 and 5 but to think 1 is bad (and worse than 2042) is crazy talk.

The more people that play this game, the fewer sales BF6 will have as this game is so bad, they'll assume BF6 can't be much better. Not sure if this was the best time to go on sale, but I guess they're trying to snag the people trying to get the rewards.
