I know I can ask an LLM but in the spirit of keeping humanity around; geniuely curious how do these pools work? Just take it down after summer or do you leave it up all year around if you live by the equator??

Also I have 0 knowledge of pools; is keeping up with it the same as a regular pool?

Thanks for any tips!

I got a trampoline on clearance at Walmart rated for 220 lbs which seemed ridiculous. The Skywalker is only rated at 200 lbs!
How legit are those numbers on trampolines?

I've had a smaller version of a Bestway for 3 years now. First year I left it up over the winter without a problem but 2nd year I noticed the steel bars were very rusty. Took it down at the end of last year. Sanded all the poles and spray painted with Rust-Oleum before I put away. Glad I kept the instructions as it was a bear to get it back up this year. Have had it up since mid-May this year and noticed some of the bars are rusting again so will take it down again this year and re-paint. I might add though, Bestway is notorious for sending out pool pumps much smaller than necessary so my guess is the same would be true of this one so add that cost into your purchase price. I had to purchase a much larger pump to keep it clean but check the connectors if you buy a new pump. Due to the fact Bestway includes such small pumps, they have a smaller size input/output hole. I needed to purchase a couple of adapters to attach the larger pump/filter. As far as upkeep, with the larger pump, I replenish the chlorine tablet once a week, skim a few leaves and bugs off the top daily, and that's about it. All that said, I've really enjoyed it, and I still have no leaks.

We got the bounce house for a 4-year-old birthday. We tested it and it worked fine. Then on the day of the party, it failed after ~15 minutes. The issue was that the blower overheated (it was in the high 60s with direct sunlight). We used a leaf blower for a little while and rotated in some other activities. The blower needed about an hour after overheating before it would work again.

The good thing was that Sam's Club took it back as a return afterward. We told them (honestly) that it was defective. If it worked well, I would recommend it for those that have little kids. It was a lot of fun for the 3-5 crowd. At the discounted price, you could probably buy another blower.

If anyone has thought about a pool, there is still a lot of summer left, and 18 feet round with a 48" depth is pretty good. I went with 52" deep bc it doesn't actually hold water to the advertised height. So this will likely be 42 inches deep.

As for things to consider- getting the flat spot ready to install it was WAY harder than actually putting up the pool. Prep work is the real work!

DFW area I take it down during the winter. BTW they were originally $450 so they are NOT 62% off. If the price drops to $200 I'll pick one up for spare parts. $300 is not bad. I bought mine at $400 at the beginning of the summer.
