excellent price, and one of the most essential upgrades for handheld PCs like the Steam Deck or Legion Go. Keep in mind you'll need an adapter for the Go, but it's cheap and easy to install

Here's a good deal on an adapter to go with it: https://a.co/d/d6y2WpM

EDIT: Apparently, there's adapters for the Legion Go and ROG Ally that allow them to use full size 2280 drives.

That seems like a better option: https://a.co/d/coE4pms

Can this go in the Legion Go S that uses a 2242 ssd? Or do you need an adapter?

For the Legion Go, I personally recommend the Corsair Micro MP600 Mini 2242, it performs better than most 2230 ssds and doesn't need an adapter. It's more expensive, but it works perfectly for that device. I'd also recommend the WD SN7100 for the ROG Ally because it's thin, runs cool and outperforms every 2230 drive and many 2280 drives even without dram.

Other than size, is there any difference between M.2 and regular NVMe?

There is no difference. Usually the length of the m.2 drive is dictated by how much space is available.

Is it QLC or TLC? I assume QLC?

Kingston doesn't say anywhere in their spec sheets and none of the listings say either.

So at this price and capacity, my assumption is it's QLC. For most typical use cases of a 2230 drive it shouldn't matter too much.

Kingston had a press release. Spec for endurance for 2TB unit is 640GB TBW. That's square in the QLC endurance range.
