Thick Julienne is listed twice in the description, for the number of blades. Not a biggie, but the reviews seem off. 79% five star then it drops off to 4 % four star, 4% three star, 2 % two star, but jumps to 11% one star. I usually take that kind of crazy distribution to mean the five star reviews are fake. I also take the three star reviews to be honest evaluations of the product, but there were no three star reviews to read. Maybe a good product, but I'm going to pass.

Got this a while ago. Something doesn't line up and you end up with chips of plastic in your food. And although it is metal, the quality overall isn't good. Base has already broken.

I just bought a similar one by Mueller on Amazon for $24. It's all plastic, while this one seems to be stainless steel. These are great for slicing, dicing and chopping any fruit and vegetables. I don't recommend for grating cheese. You need a rotary cheese grater for that. Good find OP.

Any time you see 1-star ratings that add up to more than the 2- and 3-star ratings, that's the good old fish hook trap, which means it's a bad product. This one significantly outweighs the 2s and 3s by a large margin, so it's a major red flag.

I don't want plastic shavings!

These sort of things are pretty difficult to clean. For normal family meals it's easier to just use a knife.

I got a different brand for $24: https://a.co/d/iDWrhx2

https://slickdeals.net/f/18525736-10-in-1-mueller-pro-series-8-blade-vegetable-chopper-mandoline-slicer-with-container-23-97-free-shipping-w-prime-or-on-35

Seems one or two good reviews from people in this site. $2 more expensive now than that listing.

For people that think they know the in's and out's of 1-5 star reviews. You do not. There is no simple method to know if it is real or fake. You have to click each review and try to figure out if it is real, fake, paid for, or competitor leaving fake reviews. Simply put no one is a mind reader and can know this. Even verified purchased can be faked reviewed. You better off finding someone here who actually owned the product and comments on it vs trusting amazon reviews.

Like the poster above me. Made me not want to buy it and seems like a more honest review of actual owned product.

just adding my 2cents
if you doing a lot of root vegetable work, you really want to invest in an all metal unit that can handle the added pressure and leverage needed. if you still insist on using something like this $13 brittle plastic gimmick, then i highly recommend you preboil or pressure steam the roots you want to work with, so they are already softened up some for these cutting surfaces.

Pay a little more and get a Mueller. I've been using their bottom of the line one (no longer available) for 3 years now with no issues. The new stainless steel one looks nice and I will definitely get one if the one I have breaks.
