bomb rush cyberfunk is a good game if you like set set radio. it's very niche in its appeal but I like it. I cannot speak personally for any other game on the list.

Homeworld 3 is listed at $59.99 on Steam but its reviews are poor. It seems like playing the remastered version of 1&2 would be better for a Homeworld newbie like me. But I'm going to hold off until that version goes on sale.

As someone who grew up with and played every Homeworld and Homeworld adjacent game (HW1, Cataclysm, HW2, Deserts of Kharak, HW3) I was disappointed the fan base effectively rejected HW3. It's a competent game that strayed from a few series staples, and got crushed for it.

I see this as more devastating to the franchise than the rejection DOW3 saw, which shelved that series for nearly a decade. DOW3 could have been fixed, but the community rejected it so hard, it killed any chance the devs had at fixing it. HW3 is in a similar state.

Was it great? No, it had some issues that made it generally worse than the original, which continues to be my favorite. But HW2 was a very imperfect game too. I think if people go back and play HW2, (again) then HW3, they'll see HW3 was not the massive downgrade some claim it is. Overall, I think it's a worthwhile RTS for fans of the genre.
