Not a bad price maybe for the kit but this is overkill for anything I'd do personally, and it's larger so I can't even fit it in half the spots on my truck that I would like to use it. Maybe if you're actually taking off tractor tires like in those photos or semi tires this will be useful to you. I have the Ridgid mid torque brushless ~600 ft/lbs and it's great.

I got in the previous $199 deal. I used it to change control arms, axles, wheel hub assembly, and brake rotors so far and still on first charge battery. It is a bit bulky not too heavy. Need wobble extensions for sure. 1,300 ft./lbs doesn't feel like much so don't get anything less.

I use this all the time on my car. Redid my entire suspension and all my brakes with this and, in tight spaces, the 3/8 snubby Ridgid impact

As a mechanic this gun is WAY to much for most DiYs. Its heavy and has to much power.

I have one of these and rarely use it. It pays for itself when doing cranks bolts, suspension, etc... but my mid-torque does most of those and its lighter.

I got the R86211 before it was discontinued. Too bad this is a neutered version.

Don't know who downvoted you, but you're 100% right. I use my mid-torque on the vast majority of car work, and only break out the high torque for stuff like crank bolts. It would just be silly to use this on most other things. This is great to have, just in case, but it's completely unnecessary for what most people would use it for, which is taking off lug nuts and other easy-to-remove stuff. A sub compact takes off all but the most over-torqued lugs. Lol.

Does the mid torque ever go on sale? $179 for a single tool compared to this deal for $199. This is a much better deal

Sometimes but not as often. It has more demand than this gun so that may be why they put this one onsale more often.

Labor day is coming as sometimes its on holidays.

I got my mid torque with a grease gun and digital tire inflator for $219 last year. That was normally $460. It wasn't even a hacked deal. It was a single box bundle. I know that doesn't help anyone now, but my point is mid torque deals do come around, and that deal was massively better than this one. No one is saying this is a bad deal, though. Just that it's very much overkill for the vast majority of DIY people. Most people won't even need a mid torque. I got away with using a sub compact for a long time. Even that does nearly everything your average Joe would do on a car.

I have this one, and it's more powerful than the Milwaukee high-impact wrench. Be careful when working with rusty bolts, as they can easily snap off.

Thanks I'll look out for the mid torque
