I've had the wired one for about a year now. It replaced my Ring doorbell, and the Tapo has been better in every category: video quality, night vision, SD storage, no subscription, wider angle, free chime/wedge and a better app. Ring has really fallen behind.

My notifications on tapo are def delayed in comparison to ring. Other points i agree

connecting to it definitely has delays. I have one for front door (hard wired) and back (battery) and sometimes it's instant, most times it stalls, have to close app and restart. frustrating. best one ever was simplisafe. worked instantly, very user friendly. obviously that has monthly monitoring.

I added a Tapo Wifi extender plugged in to the outlet closest to my front door where the Tapo doorbell is. No more delays.

In case you are wondering the H500 hub doesn't make this doorbell much smarter, at least not in the battery mode. H500 quite significantly improved my other Tapo cams though.

which cameras got smarter? I can't get stranger/friendly to work on doorbells yet, just c120

Really happy with this purchase. Glad I went with Tapo, the software actually works and it's awesome not having to rely on a cloud service for my doorbell to work lol
