I purchased two 12,000 BTU units for $250 each yesterday at Costco. To play it safe, I used my cell phone to check the model and serial number at the Midea Recall website https://mideaurecall.ex

I would have been tempted to flip them for profit. Some people have reported getting $480 for recall for three month old 12!000 btu.
