Price should be about $1450 with free shipping. Similar deals can be had with other configurations and models with OLED displays, touch displays, and/or 2-in-1 designs.
I bought this model after looking far and wide for premium, light weight, long battery life lunar lake laptops with bright, high-quality matte displays and this seemed like a good price on relative to historical deals.

You can get more performance from the H lineup, but you pay for it in battery life.

- Love the big, beautiful screen - it's bright, the colors are brilliant, text is very easy to read, and I love the Matte finish! So much easier to read on screen without annoying glare from background light and it's very useable outdoors. I thought I might miss OLED, but that is not the case.
- The weight is outstanding - I had a Dell XPS 15 a few years ago, and one reason I got rid of it was that it weighed 4+ lbs and eventually sold it and went back to a smaller/lighter weight 14" Ultrabook. With this, I get a larger screen size and the lower weight.
- Touchpad - I was worried that a non-haptic touchpad would really suck, but it is actually working really well. It also eliminates a problem I have with my HP Omnibook Ultra Flip 14 in that the Haptic touchpad does not respond every so often and it feels "dead". Problem solved with a mechanical touchpad.
- Battery life - seems good so far, but like always, never seems to lineup with stated claims. It's more than enough to meet my typical usage pattern, but I cannot yet say how many hours I get from it because I'm docking it some of the time, using it undocked other times, using at night with LCD turned way down, and using it direct light with LCD turned way up.
- Keyboard - this is the biggest weakness for me. The keys are small and cramped with the inclusion of a numeric keypad which also shifts the primary keys left. Additionally, the function keys and arrow keys are even smaller. Perhaps with practice my error rate will improve, but after using for less than one week, it's still an annoyance.
I've also come to the conclusion that no one makes the perfect laptop for me. I.e. a ~15" 500 nit matte screen with 120Hz+ VRR (and a small chassis to match), haptic touchpad, excellent on-center keyboard, 10+ hours of battery life (browsing and office tasks), and weighing 2.5 lbs or less. The 14" Lenovo X1 Carbon Aura Edition comes close with a smaller screen, a smallish battery, and really high price tag. This LG Gram Pro comes close too with a slightly larger than ideal overall size and OK keyboard and touchpad.Leave a Comment
