Small for a carryon. Almost perfect size for a "personal item" at least on the strictest carriers (Frontier and Spirit). Although that 18.33" is 0.33" too large. I would definitely measure it before heading to the airport to make sure you could squish it a little bit into their size checking boxes.

Better as a carry on item

Not a terrible price

But I would need to see in person to see what the quality is like

This is exactly what I need for a personal item on an upcoming flight. what's up with the cheap airfare that doesn't include any bags at all? just a purse or backpack? like who in the world travels like that?

Too large for United as a personal item.

People who don't mind washing their clothes in the sink every other day. I am not one of them.

Just got back from a 16-day trip to Asia and used 2 of these, 1 for me and 1 for my wife as carry-ons and they were outstanding! We've tried several other bags, not specifically made for travel and they all seem to be missing something. This one has so many compartments and all made sense, except the shoes compartment, which would balloon the bag up and leave very little room for anything else. I stored my long pants in there for quick switch with my shorts if needed. The detachable handbag was not very useful for us. We just store stuff in there and never detached it.
