Inb4 people complain about the batteries not working with Airtags. Swipe the batteries with a Lysol disinfectant wipe, and the coating is removed...then they work perfectly with Airtags.

Great price!
some office Depot stores has 2016, 2025, 2032 battery at very low price. Eg, 2032 single pack is $1, also buy one get one 50% off. So 2 cr2032 for $1.50
A pack of 4 2016/2025 is $3, also b1g1 50% off.
4x2=8 cr2016/cr2025 for $4.5

What's the context of this? As in why wouldn't the battery work with airtags unless doing what you said?

Edit:
I bought some batteries recently, and I'm wondering if this is why my key fob isn't super responsive.

The coating prevents proper contact between the battery and the devices. https://www.zdnet.com/home-and-of...to-fix-it/

The ones I have are Energizer, and couldn't really see a film but still took a cotton swab with some rubbing alcohol to it and some blue ink came off.

So hopefully that was enough to make the batteries work better. If not, I may try some crc electronic cleaner on the batteries, as I'm sure that would totally cut through whatever may be on the battery surface.
