Seemingly prone so MOSFET failures, granted they have a 2-year warranty when purchased direct.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank HR1

I've been using mine for 2 years as a daily driver with some light AAA gaming here and there, no failures, no issues. Up until a few months ago these were still $400+, so nice to see the trickle-down of new AMD and Intel APU's pushing this very capable machine even lower.

Every game will run at some kind of pretty-mode 1080p resolution at a locked 30 until you hit
the UE5 games. If you insist on using KBM and want 60fps, you're going to be gaming at 720p or 900p for most modern titles and low/medium settings, but there are exceptions depending on how old the game is or how optimized the code runs.

It's not just minis forum. There are you tube videos showing repairs on many mini PC brands.
It's really too bad since you get a lot specs wise for the money. E.g. refurb Ryzen 5600g desktops go for more than this.

Yes. 7735 is Rembrandt refresh and 6800 is Rembrandt. The top turbo is slightly higher.
This is the hs variant. It has the same 35 w tdp as the 6800hs.

Other than ebay anyone know of a good deal on ddr5 sodimm for 64gb? Noname ram on ebay seems to be around $140 at cheapest with crucial ram around $180. Perplexity quoted the going rate for crucial as $130 which I have to assume was the rate before all these moronic tariffs.

Anyone know if this pc can handle a single 48gb sodimm or a 48gb and a 16gb sodimm for a total of 64gb? The cost between 64gb and 96gb in some cases is as little as $30 so I'm leaning between ordering that and splitting the two 48gb sodimm's along with 32gb of ram I already have between this pc and a kamrui am 08 pro which pretty much has identical specs.

While you can do it, I wouldn't as you won't be able to run the RAM in dual channel. You would be halving the bandwidth of your RAM doing what you are suggesting. If you want to increase your computer performance, buy matching pairs of RAM for your computers. Like exact same RAM/Model number/brand.

It can handle it easily but you will only have 32GB, 16GB Ram and the 16GB portion of the 48GB memory, running in Dual Channel mode. That may affect the performance of the integrated iGPU. If you are planning to run daily workloads or VM, that may not be much of an issue.

Thanks..ended up finding a deal on crucial 64gb on amazon for around $150 and then snagged some Corsair Vengeance sodimm's used from ebay for $109 to upgrade a second mini pc. I read about the lack of dual channel and it probably would not have been an issue as the mini pc is primarily a docker host and jellyfin server but I'm adding 2 5 bay DAS units to it daisy chained through the usb-c data port (10gbps) and setting up a btrfs software raid (needs much less memory than zfs) array up. This mini pc is gonna do the trick.
