Just here to say what might be obvious, but was not to me when I bought an ice maker ….

Most lower priced ice makers make ice but don't keep it cold. So you need to scoop it and put it in the freezer to prevent melting.

I bought a GE one and it's been 1.5 years and I use it weekly.

Not even the name brand ice makers last. I had 2 Frigidaire, GE, Whirlpool. They all lasted a little over a year. Cool concept, just not reliable

Just curious, what specific GE model did you get? Thanks!

Oddly enough, I have an Igloo model which is used weekly and hasn't given me an issue for over two years.

Any difference between this one and the Walmart one [walmart.com] for $35?

Seller is from Hong Kong and ships from HK. Looks like a scammer 3rd party to me.

Cheap ones are all pretty much the same. As already mentioned you need to move the ice to a freezer. Then the ice gets stuck together. Kids had a lot of fun with ours (different model and brand) though we did end up returning it.

Huh? Do you read what you write and how you express yourself? It has 4.4 out of 5 on almost 5k reviews.

looks just like the one my daughter uses every day for the past couple years without issue. yes, it doesn't keep the ice cold, but it works fine and she loves it. not sure what brand hers is, but its a no name brand and look exactly like this. she took it with her to college, might get this for the other daughter...

Auto correct fail. Most people figured it out from context clues 👍. no I don't actually review drafts of my comments and edit lol

smart people dont look the avg. want a real honest review? just list them by "most recent" then read the first 20. ignore all the vine (paid to review) ones of course.
