Polymaker 3D Printing Filament Dryer and Storage Box - PolyDryer and PolyDryer Box for Filament Drying and Sealing with Heat Control, Compatible with PA Nylon, PLA, PVB, PETG, ABS, TPU 1.75mm 2.85mm

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CK1BX9G2?th=1

Clip 10% off coupon (YMMV - you can also check eligibility: https://www.amazon.com/promotion/...696ES2UN1L)

$61.59 - $6.16 = $55.43 - even at $61, still a great deal IMO

Max temp is 73C

I bought a bunch of cheap cereal containers for my filament and used this conversion print to make them compatible with the PolyDryer:
https://www.printables.com/model/...rybox-offi

With dual port remix:
https://www.printables.com/model/...mate-cerea

Otherwise, they are having a sale on the Polydryer boxes [amazon.com] for $23 - 10% = ~$21 - Regular price is usually $30. Unless you want to hang the cereal containers on a pegboard, I would recommend just buying the Polydryer boxes. With all the filament you use and the materials you have to buy (ball bearings, hygrometers, cereal containers, etc), it will come to about $10-15 per self-made container

You can also print an addon to recharge your silica:

That page says I'm not eligible. Must be targeted to specific users or regions.

got it, I think I became eligible after buying the polydryer. I reordered the dryer and an extra box with the coupon and returned the old one.

Really cool dryer but wow the price seems steep for this setup... a few dryer boxes and a dryer will run you upwards of 100$. Why not just a few vacuum sealing bags and descant packets then dry when you need to use it?

I have the dryer and four boxes. Usually PLA in two that stay attached to the printers, and then whatever two other filaments I've used recently. Other open filament lives in a sealed container that holds 4 rolls and a ton of desiccant that hovers around 20%. All of it is ready to print whenever, but it's really easy to swap between the filaments already in the boxes or to swap from the boxes to the sealed container. The longest part of switching is usually getting the hot-end up to temp.

This, with the famous $7 Sterilite 20 qt gasket box from Walmart and the $40 Sovol SH01 from Amazon (or $36 if you S&S), should be fine for most folks. But the vacuum bags tend to crease and leak... not sure how to avoid this other than patching the leaks as they occur.

that's a typical misconception. Dissicant beads do not actively dry your filament; they attempt to keep your filament dry at its current state. If you have "wet" filament, just putting it in a bag with desiccant will not dry it.

If you only print in PLA, you can likely get away with just dry bags and desiccant. If you use anything else (especially TPU and PETG), a dryer will be beneficial. If you are in a humid area, you may need a dryer for PLA also

A bonus with the polydryer is that you can recharge your silica beads for reuse instead of putting it in your microwave or oven, which I want to avoid, even with the orange rechargeable silica

Been waiting for this to go on sale forever! Will be nice to be able to print and dry picky filament that needs to be actively dried during printing.

also there is a mod to split this into double (and even triple) to heat more than one at once. Obviously, this will require longer heating

https://www.printables.com/model/...barrel-mod

There a lot of community mods for this dryer, which is great
