To really hear what this is capable of, you need to watch a 4K blu-ray. The audio blows streaming audio away. Streaming platform audio is all compressed, unless you download the uncompressed files (which are usually huge files) and use something like a Plex server. Otherwise, it doesn't matter what your internet speed is. Netflix, Prime, Apple TV, etc… all compressed. Disc audio is noticeably better. I have Top Gun Maverick digitally and on 4K blu-ray, and it's a big difference. It sounds amazing on this system.

Haven't tried but I was wondering the same. I don't have enough room behind my couch to place these properly. My best guess is you'd basically be flattening/raising the rear channels into the rear height plane, so for atmos stuff you'd lose the rear effect completely (or depending on how you angle them, flipping sounds upside down in the rear which seems even worse).

ehh, not really. it tries, but doesnt come close to the integra 9.2 receiver and klipsch speakers that replaced it in my living room. i ended up putting the Q990D in the guest room. i dont know if it's the Space Fit ai room correction always trying to figure things out, but the channels sound like they are scrunched up too much. samsung should have had removable ends on the bar to widen the sound stage. maybe my living room was too big for it.
