I have this bag. It's a beast, it's heavy (for a bag) but it's awesome if you need the space. I'd call it an excellent bag if you're carrying outdoor for your family or doing the hostel thing backpacking through another country (I did both with it). No issue with zippers or rips, been super happy with it. I swap out my ultra light bags for overnight camping.

Great price! I have not gone backpacking yet, but I just moved to Colorado so I'm trying to gear up budget friendly. Thanks!

my old north face backpack lost all the PU waterproof coating.
How about this backpack? PU waterproof coating? or silicon oil?

The features are clearly listed on the page.

Given though it does have a rain cover (at a $50 price point), I think that's fair for water protection.

I used one of these for a few years with no big complaints or problems. Used to be a bit cheaper than this, but oh well. Got replaced by something lighter and larger (But more expensive) a few years ago, but I still use it as a rucking / weight pack. If it tore or got badly damaged, I'd probably get another for that same purpose. Easily handles around #100, mostly in the hydration chamber bit, but distributed in the other pockets as well. It can really help balance out any midrange lifts, if paired with dumbbells or a barbell. Super comfortable and easily put on / taken off. If it doesn't feel right, you probably don't have the waist strap high or tight enough. Shouldn't be resting heavily on your shoulders. There are great guides. Anyways, hope this helps.

PS - I did have one issue where the chest strap tore, but that was after years, and well into the weight pack usage. Don't think it'd be a problem with normal backpacking usage, and it wasn't exactly hard to repair.

Also FYI for anyone else, the color that is on second blue picture for the $50.99 is not correct.

The color that you'll get is "Pacific" which matches the wording. The incorrect color shown is another: "Bluejay"
