These take two AAA batteries, which are cheaper and easier to find than button cell batteries. However, I suggest also keeping a non-digital gauge in your vehicle just in case your batteries are dead and you need to check your tire pressure.

Have two. First one tested with calibrated instrument. Accurate to 0.1 psi from 20 to 150. It's off by 1 psi at 32F. Second one shows the same reading, so didn't bother to go thru the calibration check. Sturdy body easily support my body weight without damage. Note that the gauge doesn't like battery voltage below 1.4VDC, so avoid rechargeable batteries.

Takes seconds to remove and replace batteries. Setting is stored in memory after shut off. Highly recommend product. The T300 now replaces my USA accugauge boudon as the go to pressure gauge.

I'd go with a Milton 921. Accurate and never needs batteries. It will outlast your car, maybe even you. This will be dead when you need it and leaked batteries will probably make it landfill soon.

Why would it be dead? Most name-brand batteries have at least a five year shelf life, and this isn't going to use much power unless you use it frequently.

Thanks OP. Grabbed one. Project Farm from YouTube recommended this one as the affordable option. Wasn't the best but he paid $10 for it. For $4 I'm sure he would say run to get one.

This has AAA batteries. If you use rechargeable...or lithium, the batteries will not leak and unless you check your tire pressure only every decade, I highly doubt the batteries will be dead.

Now the Milton is a decent unit and it will last. But it is outdated. With TPSM now going off if your tires are more than a couple of pounds off, estimation is no longer acceptable. You can get a larger and more accurate reading here than with your Milton. Of course you prove me wrong if you can show me how to get .10 pound increment readings on that Milton.

Can you get good and decently accurate with the Milton..even without .10 pound increments? Sure. And all you need to make this happen is to somehow replace the wife and kids with drones that would be willing to put in the time to do that. Good Luck.

Batteries won't leak if you use Energizer Ultimate Lithium. It's the only one I'll use for anything that's kept in the car or the garage through the Texas summer heat.

If you can spare the space, just get a rechargeable air pump. Costs maybe $15 more and you can fill your tires from the convenience from your driveway, or the side of the road if needed. Also recharge your electronics in a pinch. Mine is about the size of a 20oz can.

Ive only compared it to my Viair 88p but this Etenwolf is within .2 PSI, and thats comparing an analog reading to a digital reading. It is more than accurate enough for the average commuter. I dont get these posters complaining about batteries will be dead when you need to check pressure - the box the gauge came in is roomy enough to store the batteries outside of the gauge. Take maybe 5 seconds to re-install the batteries. As was mentioned previously, Project Farm gave it a thumbs up. I dont get the hate, but then again I am in the minority that adjusts tire pressures every 7 days.

I grabbed this deal last time it was featured. I love it. I keep it in the car. This thing is tough. With the summer heat in my car it works good. Kind of makes me look forward to checking my tires.

I popped in some 11 yr old AAA HF black/yellow batteries for performance testing. Initial voltage 1.522 VDC per Fluke 87. After two weeks in the T300, voltage reading drops to 1.518 VDC. T300 will show low battery warning at 1.4 VDC. Therefore, one can expect these cheap batteries to last for 61 weeks in standby mode. The batteries should not leak if you use the T300 once every two weeks.
