These aren't leak proof, at least mine isn't. I wanted something where I could toss in a bag and have at least 40oz of water on me when I went into the office or wherever and have a nice leak proof tumbler. When on the "closed" position, it doesn't seal with the rubber gasket properly and water dribbles out. Not good when putting it into a bag with a laptop. Overall, the cup is nice and if you want a 40oz straw cup thats easy to clean, it ain't bad. Just don't go in with high expectations with the seal like I did

we got some cheap ass leak proof lid from temu which works. You can find some on Amazon. They have a lot of replacements lid for these Stanley. The factory lid is supposed to be used with a straw and is not leak proof.

Can you confirm that you have this version, with the "full-cover top to prevent spills", and yours still leaks from the top, when that "3rd" position is turned on (I.e. closed)?
