The internet says this is the preferred style of hitch mounted bike rack. (This style clamps down on the tires, the only contact points between the bike and rack are on the tires, so no possible scratches). The best brand of this style rack is 1up-USA, but the equivalent starts at $805. Many other racks use lots of plastic, which fades quickly in the sun here.
This rack is mostly aluminum, so it should be light and strong and not fade. The built in locking system seems worthless; it looks like the rack needs to be folded up to access it.
I buy slick deal budget bikes; my most expensive one was $400. I didn't want to spend $1000+ just to drive it to the local trails.
