MicroUSB for charging? so instead of utilizing USB-C they decided to cut corners and make slow charging small and not very useful port for it.

Fair. But at $20, seems like a reasonable tradeoff of you don't want to spend more. I guess depends on the person but I keep these charged and top them off every 3m just in case the rare occasions pops up when I need to use it. If you plan on using it as a portable power bank or for some reason need to jump frequently, Id agree, not an ideal unit for that scenario.
