This probably explains why India is thrown in there: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/w0nPzhhRC1w
Avoid at all cost. A few bucks isn't worth the health risk.

Could she be promoting her own country products regardless?

I doubt it. Besides, it's a well-known fact about garlic in China (or many other plants grown on their soil actually), so it's not based on individual opinions. Her video is just a reference that spoke to how Chinese garlic made its way into India also.

That wasn't the point. What she is saying is a confirmed and widely known fact. I used it as a quick and easy reference. It's like linking to a video where someone says excess sodium intake is harmful to health. You wouldn't dispute that just because no source is listed. It's that level of information. I assumed most people knew that about Chinese garlic by now, but I guess you weren't caught up on it.

Feel free to google "china garlic dangerous" and see all the grifter websites that popup. Pretty much no credible sources.

Stop getting news from tiktok.

He's gotta be one of those "I do my own research" guys. Infowars is where he gets his news.

lol Literally Chinese news covered this a while ago as well as Korean and Japanese news. Don't assume that everyone lives in a small tiny world like you do, relying on random info on the Internet. Be grateful that there are those with real information pertaining to your health and try to use it wisely, rather than making a fool of yourself.
I doubt you have the ability to read this, but this is explaining how the Japanese dept of health added a new policy to monitor garlic imported from China because Chinese garlic was confirmed to contain pesticides greater than what is allowed by regulations. This is from last year. What's next? You are gonna insist that the Japanese government is doing that based on random information from the Internet? lol
