It's a little large for them. My vehicles have retention inserts inside the cupholder, and it barely fits in the top, resting on the retention mechanism. It might fit if I shoved it down, but I would say no.

That aside, mine is also my favorite water bottle now.

I like this water bottle but the size is too big imo. I have plenty of 40oz Hydroflask but I ended going with the 32 oz for this model.

However it looks like they have another similar 40oz model that does fit into cup holders https://a.co/d/eCNLPJJ

40oz bottle is a joke, super heavy in your hands... unless you work in the field and have no direct access to water.

they have a new version that fits in cup holders and has other improvements like a wider handle. Not exclusive to Target.

Mine was same, but shipped by someone from CA , I returned it but they never accepted my return and got the bottle back. You better check the bottom of a bottle for authenticity

Just because it is sold on Amazon doesn't mean it is legit, as they allow other people to sell through their storefront, like many other sites are also doing. You need to pay attention to who the seller is on Amazon and other sites that allow third party sales. Always check the box where you click buy/add to cart. Under those buttons it shows two pieces of info - where it ships from and who the seller is. If it isn't Amazon, you can usually click the seller name to see their storefront/reviews, etc.
