Had a P2008BTL two speed trimmer, with the 2-in-1 dual blade head, set on speed 1, with 4ah battery, for an average sized lawn. Just the right rpm's on speed setting 1, with the two serrated blades, lasted the whole yard. Any other trimmer, or speed setting 2 (faster rpm's) would be counterproductive. You can get the trimmer pretty cheap nowadays.

After many years of using Echo gas powered trimmers, I found these Ryobi trimmers unsatisfactory. Admittedly, Echo is a quality and durable product. I returned the Ryobi after two hours of use and exchanged it for a Milwaukee.

Dont know which model I have but I have a ryobi trimmer similar to this one. Works as expected. It seems the string lasts forever. IIRC, I've only had to change it once since new and I pretty much do 80% of the lawn. (20% paying the other folks to do it because I didnt feel like it lol).
I'm looking for an edger, though thinking it would work better since I dont edge until every other mow.

Wondering if this will eventually go cheaper since it's showing clearance online but in store only purchase.
