Sorry, I couldn't help it. I remember when Adobe software was a one-time purchase that you owned forever.

If you've bought from Newegg from the past, do not try to extend it with a B&H code (and vice versa). The codes are not compatible and will start a concurrent subscription rather than extend.

Yes, it sucks. But no need to put down a deal when it's among the best current pricing around.

My original one-time CS6 is still running just fine and the s/n has worked flawlessly through several re-installations. No need for a subscription here.

Why do they say Original Price is $239?

This ALWAYS sells for around $80-120.

Yup! Same thing happened to me. Waste of $$ and adobe and Newegg could not fix it

Does this get cheaper around Black Friday? I have the creative suite and pay for the 1TB storage separately but am looking to downsize it since I only use LR & PS right now. Is it possible to buy this now and activate it when my currently plan ends in November?

I switched over to Apple. Now my copy of Lightroom is no longer supported. I switched over to darkroom.

Adobe discontinued their 20 GB cloud plan earlier this year. That means 1 TB is now the lowest tier that can be obtained with a digital code. You have to give them your credit card info to get the 20 GB plan (if you had it before). $100 upfront for 1 TB is less than the annual price for the 20 GB plan I believe.

Should be fine to buy now and activate later. I don't think it will get cheaper than this (or Newegg) but maybe some shops will offer gift cards to go with it.

I guess CS6 is fine if you're ok using 13 year old technology. For serious photographers the new tech/software is worth the yearly subscription. It also is nice to be able to access your files from anywhere via phone, iPad, or computer. To each their own, I guess

I switched to DxO Photolab for a Lightroom replacement, and really like it for that. It is a "buy once, keep forever, only pay if you want major version upgrades."

It doesn't replace Photoshop, nor for my usages did I need a Photoshop replacement. Photoshop is still super powerful, and if you regularly require it then this deal is of course for you. If however, you're just looking to post-process RAW images (and catalog/organize) then there are solid alternatives.
