My original one-time CS6 is still running just fine and the s/n has worked flawlessly through several re-installations. No need for a subscription here.
I guess CS6 is fine if you're ok using 13 year old technology. For serious photographers the new tech/software is worth the yearly subscription. It also is nice to be able to access your files from anywhere via phone, iPad, or computer. To each their own, I guess

It doesn't replace Photoshop, nor for my usages did I need a Photoshop replacement. Photoshop is still super powerful, and if you regularly require it then this deal is of course for you. If however, you're just looking to post-process RAW images (and catalog/organize) then there are solid alternatives.
