Remember when Amiibo used to be $13? And then an acceptable $16?

I used to collect them, especially the Zelda ones. But now they're expecting $30??
$120 for the 4 champions, at MSRP, is ludicrous.
I can understand $20 - matching this deal. But it's no wonder they're in stock & on sale.

Nice! Thanks for posting OP. Now I need the rest to come down to $20. I would love to support GameStop over Amazon but their inventory and ordering are trash.

They are $8-$10 cheaper outside the US, so blame the tariffs... My friend from Australia bought the new ones day one for me and it cost after USD exchange an avg of $18/amiibo. He's bringing them with him when he visits.

That's dumb. Imagine pushing your politics on an amiibo post. There are many other places to do this.

Nobody blamed the last admins for the previous price increases. I don't care about modern politics, but conservatives and parents buy these things too. No need to push your ideology on posts not relating to it.

Except that Nintendo literally blamed the tariffs as the reason for price hikes across the board on their amiibo and accessories. This isn't a single instance where they needed to increase pricing because of quality issues or something else. This is because of the current administration not understanding how tariffs work and instead forcing increased pricing to all consumers (ie, us).

Amiibo prices started going up years before the tariffs.

This is a DEAL website where it's all about pricing, cost vs worth, historical pricing, sale price, etc. Whether you like it or not Nintendo have increased prices in the last few months directly due to political decisions.
