Thanks OP! Last month it was also available at this price - it seems they offered a 50$ discount for windows computers a checkout, so it basically ended up 2000$ exactly.

You're thinking of Asus's ProArt line, which shares similar looks to the Zephyrus line. That one has a 3k display touchscreen, along with a dGPU.
Downside is the refresh rate is lowered to 60Hz, and the vRAM used is capped at 8GB, compared to this Zephyrus model's 12 GB. Though they haven't made a 2025 ProArt in this 14 inch size yet; last year's counterpart was 13 inches, with the only other option being 16 in.

I think the 2025 proact is 120hz, at least this is for the 16" version.

I got this last month when it also dropped to $2,000 and it is working great.

The only issue I had was once when I was playing Doom (1994) the left palm rest got so hot that it was making my hand itch/burn so I had to stop playing it. I've not seen that happen again though.

It comes with 2 display options, one is same as the in 2025 G16, 2.5K 240Hz OLED and another is the 4K 60 Hz OLED like the last year.

Great deal matches the last one I jumped. Best buy had a $50 off coupon off any Windows system, so it brought it down from $2,050 to $2,000.

Amazing for the size, have it docked to a Razer USB4 dock with everything connected to it.

I know this is a gaming laptop. But is this specifically for people who only game or for people who content create? No regular person who web browses or do those things uses this laptop? Even if you web browse and YouTube, the battery is going to be low? I'm confused why this is the case, since it won't use the 5070 ti but the regular gaming card? Which is the gaming card it uses when not using the 5070 ti?

How is this compared to the Dell XPS 15 9520 that I have that has i7-12700h processor, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd and Nvidia 3050 and Intel Iris Xe Graphics and 86wh battery?

I do not play those games people play though for a gaming laptop so this would not be suitable for a non gamer? However, if you want something with a a good video card and fast processor like the i7-12700h, is this good?

Is it true that gaming laptops like this get really hot and break easily?

Years ago, I had a sager np 2740 laptop and it had nothing but issues. Had the battery replaced so many times and even the screen as well. Then once when I was using it, it just shut off and was told the laptop doesn't work anymore and the board needed to be replaced so no longer used it. I believe the sager was a gaming laptop? I know the processor was a quad core processor i5-6300hq but I think the video card was only Intel Iris 5200 but not sure. So any laptop you have that you use it at full power is prone to have something like this happen?

On battery, it should use the 890M usually, unless you force it to use the 5070 Ti. It would be very weird to buy this and not intend to use the 5070 Ti.

Blocked vent during that play session?

Might be something wrong with Driver/Windows. Happened to me once and I had to check the system log and it's the Graphic driver problem. clean uninstall and reinstalled solved it for me.

So say you are playing a YouTube video only the entire time. How many hours would the battery last when it is using the 890m? Even though it's a gaming laptop, it can give a lot of hours if you don't use the 5070 ti?

So anyone that buys this laptop pretty much games then? So someone who uses it for content creating would find this way too much? I don't do that but I'm asking for that.

The thing is if you do something that needs a fast graphics card, then this 5070 ti is very good? I have an XPS 15 9520 with a 3050 so the 5070 ti would be much better than right? The thing is I always hear that gaming laptops heat up real fast. Does it heat up fast if you only use the 890m? So these are a 1 year warranty right? But do these laptops usually have issues where it stops working after 2 years or so?
