I have this ratchet and use it along a 2Ah battery, I must say its my favorite tool. I use my own momentum to break the bolt and then click away nut. The torque really doesn't help me much, but the quickness of the rpm does. Hope this helps

Same. Rare that I ever use the torque to break anything free other than small fasteners that don't need much anyway. More torque would be better if you're dealing with some particularly tough fasteners or something I guess but I'm likely using an impact tool there anyway.

I want to buy this but am having trouble justifying it. For owners of battery powered ratchets, what are the specific scenarios that make you thankful to have one of these vs. a traditional ratchet?

I bought this a couple weeks ago but the ergonomics of the new ones look so much better. The torque is nice but the new profile is what is making me want to return mine. Although I'm not sure how quickly the price will drop on those new ones.

The batteries are the HO.
Lots of M12 deals right now, but some have two 3.0XC and others, like this one, have two 5.0HO. The HO are great. The XC are so-so.

There is no soon about it. They are set to release in January 2026.

This is still a great deal as this ratchet is still, and will still be for years to come, relevant. The 5.0 batteries make it a fantastic deal. I own several M12 ratchets, including this one and while I will definitely buy the new one, I still highly recommend this one, especially for HVAC guys. It's small, light-ish, and fast.

I got the non-FUEL version of this tool for less than $100 a while ago. It's indeed very helpful for doing any car work, I use it all the time. If you don't have this kind of tool and need the batteries I'd say it's probably a great deal.

I got the non-fuel version of this and I used a few times assembling flat-pack furniture. Very handy for that and probably automotive work. I've barely touched it since I got the fuel stubby impact wrench though. Was assembling something with those nylon locknuts and the 35 ft-lb torque wouldn't push at all. ("Finally an excuse to buy the stubby"! )

I bit the bullet and bought 2 high speeds and 1 extended reach ratchets just this year, and now the new models are coming out. Dang it.
Wonder what the prices will be on the new ratchets. If the current ones are around $200, these will probably be closer to $250. Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Literally my favorite tool. I grabbed a second one using this deal for the batteries and I'll just leave this one in the go-bag tool box. The new one looks like a worthwhile upgrade, but this is quite literally my most used tool.

But this ain't the wrench version

I'm debating if I should get th is ratchet or the impact wrench below. Already have the stubby

i want a smaller ratchet so im poking around. im ryobi mainly but that ratchet with the big ol stick battery kinda defeats the point. having a hard time pulling the trigger on milwaukee when you can build almost a full combo kit with hercules off sale for the same price. not quite as good but good enough.

I bought this a week or two ago. Love it. The batteries are awesome too. Gen 3 is coming out yes but they will be top dollar until gen 4 comes

i do assembly work. i got tired of moving my arm/wrist with manual ratchet.
with this battery ratchet i place it on the nut/bolt head and just stand there while it does all the work.
