If you only need the stubby, you can hack the deal for tool only $120.73 and return the 2x 3amp battery.

This 3/8" stubby is the one I want. Oddly enough, 2 weeks ago the depot had a sale for $149 for the 1/2" one. I'm still buying this now since I need to change my brakes.

The hack able version is showing up as $229 for me. Making the impact $146. Your seeing something different?

Seems like all the Dewalt deals dried up at Home Depot and its all Milwaukee now.

Wonder what gives.

It depends on your location. It is OOS on east coast. YMMV.

Nice deal, if you don't need the XC3.0s they fetch 60-80 bucks on marketplace pretty easily which makes this cheaper than any of the hack deals I've seen for this new tool. Sold my old one and the batteries when I bought this, kept the tool and made about 10 bucks.

OOS for me - any chance these are in store and they'd honor that price?

3/8 vs 1/2"???

is 3/8 ok for DIY type of situation and 1/2 bigger for more tougher jobs?
