This is the 64 GB with 4 GB of RAM. There is also a 128 GB with 8 GB of RAM for $209. Is it worth the upgrade for the extra 4GB of RAM?

Get a free phone on metro with plan, then you can get this tablet for $20.

Bought the version with 8 GB RAM when it came out. Returned because its display has a poor viewing angle and it was pretty sluggish in responsiveness, imo.

Might be worth it at this price point.

I was thinking on getting the free tablet from metro. Testing one out before I decide. the A9+ has a hard time with multitasking. sound isn't great. good for travel leave your S device at home. I had two 1080 videos playing in two windows, both played without hiccups. Swiping isn't the smoothest. App switching lags. Apps I use are Onstream, splayer, Brave, Reddit, YouTube revanced . Can't complain for $20 plus the activation of a phone line

Probably more beneficial to get something better close to the price... 4gb would be worse

I have this is as my travel tablet and would say any less than 8gb of RAM is unusable if you multitask on any recent tablet. I mainly use mine for videos & comic reading.

Of course its better to get technology with more ram, storage space, or a faster processor.

My son plays ROLOBOX and Minecraft on 4gb just fine( not at the same time). Set your expectations. I did get it for $100(like new used + 20% off warehouse) during Prime Day.

As I mentioned in the Metro thread on this tablet:
Ok the tablet is very slow out of the box. Yes you can turn off animations by settings-accessibility-reduce animations. But there is one trick that makes this into a fully functional regular tablet.
Go to settings-device care-memory and Turn Off Ram Plus.

Expensive. Only $20 from Metro and it comes with 5G cellular too and it can also be used with T-Mobile.

Oh really, turn off that Ram Plus feature, the tablet will run faster. What is that Ram Plus feature?

Samsung's RAM Plus feature uses internal storage to create virtual RAM (zRam) to help with multitasking and app performance by allowing more apps to stay open in the background, though it can slow down the device because storage is much slower than physical RAM and may reduce the lifespan of the internal storage. While it can be helpful on phones with less physical RAM, many users find turning it off results in better battery life and overall performance.
The difference on the A9+ is striking. Much faster with Ram plus off.

oh boy does this tablet LAG. you'll be ok if you're just playing videos but any type of scrolling is laggy. i'll probably pick up an S-series tablet and use the A9+ for travel. I'll have to look into disabling ram plus seems like one of those early naught schemes to "double your RAM"
