At this price I would like to get two, but this would be my first time doing optics, so let me start with the very basics.

I would like to bridge both of them via a 50m optical run through the attic. I'm going to save the details about the run itself later (bends and all) but, besides these two, is all I need:

1. This 50m optical cable - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BBZZV9ZC - if there's something cheaper han $46, do share!
2. 2x "optical adapters" or 10GBase-LR SFP+ Transceiver - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09X9S2CK6/

… or is it more involved than this?

Also, is there a USB or TB or PCI card that will allow me to test 10GbE? All my home equipment is currently 1GbE (which I hope to upgrade over the next few years) so I have no way to test the 10GbE has been setup correctly.

Does anyone have a coupon code for this Managed version?
