Beware of the poor hinge durability on this model. Go to Sonyheadphones subreddit if you want to see the reports.

Design is painfully uncomfortable. I have these and the XM3s, and I prefer the latter any day.

Go with XM4 or XM6. Avoid the XM5 for the terrible hinge design

FYI the SA model is different from the regular model. These come with a soft pouch rather than a hard case, they are a special model made just for Costco

Funny enough to me it was the opposite. I can wear the xm5 indefinitely. Xm3s got uncomfortable for me after a couple hours.Like others have chimed in, careful with the hinges on xm5 a good batch of them are flimsy. Mine have held up well, but ever since checking the Sony headphones Reddit, I've been extra cautious 😅.

Other than the case, are there any differences?

incremenetally better ANC, similar sound, worse reliability/ergonomics based on reviews, I'd skip to the 6s down the road if I had 4s personally

I love the WF XM5s and want these, but the high instance of them breaking at the hinge and the lack of folding make me think either these need to be a firesale price or I'll wait for the 6s to come down in price. I have Bose 700s already, but the WF version is already at least as good as those in an in-ear so I assume these must be a good bit better.

Agreed. XM5 has flimsy hinges and doesn't fold up nicely like the XM4 and 6. I'm still using my XM2 although it's getting a little worn. I'll probably replace with XM4 when a great deal comes up.
