I'm curiuos what something like this does to input lag. If it has to analyze and upscale every single image that goes through it seems like that would cause a delay.

Also, don't most TVs already naturally upscale lower resolution inputs?

This device is great. It's mostly for consoles 720p and below resolutions and you use it on a 1080p TV (maybe 4k TVs too, haven't tried). but I use my Switch 1 on a 4k TV and noticed a difference after using the device. It's pretty obvious when you play something almost daily like Ring Fit and then apply the filter and it looks less jaggy. It's quite minor to the eyes, but real noticeable on something you play daily.

Agreed. I have the Original mClassic, paired w/ a 4kGamer Pro, going into a 100" Hisense (where the difference become much more apparent vs. using on a 40", for example).

The mClassic by itself does do some clean-up; like said above, it's subtle but you notice when it's not there. The 4kGamerPro is great for the sharpening.

Plus, for some reason the combo eliminates audio issues I have w/ some of the older consoles going through just one scaler (PS2 had this issue, Dreamcast would cut out sometimes, etc.).

I've used this combo up to the last gen. of video game consoles (mainly the base Xbox One and PS4) and even w/ those consoles, there is an increase is picture quality. Beat Horizon Forbidden West on it not too long ago and was surprised how well it holds up (having beat it on the PS5 at release).
