This price has nothing to do with AMD. AMD only makes the GPU inside this card. PowerColor makes the the card, then sells it to the reseller, in this case Newegg.

Newegg can sell the card for whatever price they can get - MSRP (Suggested Retail Price) is merely a suggestion. Market demands are high now for this product and therefore Newegg is currently charging more than MSRP because people are willing to pay it.

I agree, its pretty wild that they wont sell these at "MSRP", even thought the 5070 and 5070ti can be found at MSRP. At this price, I would spend the extra $60 to buy the 5070 Ti.

AMD offered a limited-unit rebate to retailers at launch to make it look like the MSRP was real, then later took that away.
