Features: - Creality K1 Max 3D Printer:
- 600MM/S HIGH-SPEED PRINTING - The Creality K1 Max 3D printer is designed for efficiency, boasting a maximum speed of 600mm/s and 20000mm/s² Acceleration, which is 12 times faster than a regular Fused Deposition Modeling 3D printer. Perfect for professionals and beginners.
- 11.8x11.8x11.8in LARGE PRINTING SIZE - The K1 Max boasts an impressive printing size of 300×300×300mm, allowing for multiple models to be printed simultaneously, significantly increasing printing efficiency. Additionally, its print volume to printer size ratio can reach up to 25.5%, the biggest compared with similar-sized printers.
- SMART AI LIDAR & CAMERA - The 1μm resolution LiDAR will scan the first layer on its own. It will pause printing and tell you immediately if something goes wrong. And K1 Max uses an AI camera to watch over spaghetti failure, foreign objects, debris, etc. It will alter you when an error occurs. It also supports real-time monitoring and creates time-lapses for sharing. Furthermore, The strain sensors in the heatbed generate an accurate leveling mesh for auto compensation.
- OUT-of-THE-BOX - K1 Max is assembled and calibrated before shipment, and it offers a boot-up quick guide, and allows self-test with one tap. So, users can print right out of the box. The Creality K1 Max offers hands-free auto leveling, the strain sensors in the heatbed deliver hands-free leveling, while the AI LiDAR scans the bed tilt at million points for more precise leveling. Its heatbed heats to 60℃ in just 90s. Ensuring perfect prints every time without the hassle.

The dual-gear direct drive extruder and titanium alloy heatbreak ensure 32mm³/s full-blast feeding flow in up to 300℃. I got the same refurb from the same seller last year for just under $500 and it's been a solid printer. I've had a few issues (mainly due to user error), and did a warranty claim, and ended up getting refunded for my purchase -- I then ordered the parts myself and fixed it myself.. Mine only had a 1 year warranty.
With the 2 year warranty this comes with, it's a no brainer.

Former Creality owner, current BambuLab owner here. I can't speak to the long term reliability of these K series Creality units, but I think there's a reason you're finding countless refurb units flooding the market. My experience with BambuLab hasn't been perfect, but the overall performance and reliability is a generation ahead. I had hoped the K2 units would introduce more competition into the marketplace, but I see so many 3D print subreddit's with user gripes and complaints.
All of that said, if you don't mind tinkering and troubleshooting, that K1 max looks like a killer deal for a single color large format printer.

Does this specific printer waste more filament than others with multicolor?
Currently multi color is wasteful in its current state but looks like a lot of companies are looking address that issue with new models coming out end of year/next year. Snapmaker with that kickstarter and Bambu talking abou thte H2C
