This seems like an amazing deal considering the CFS goes for around 300$ on its own. I think if you're in the market for your first multi material printer or even your 5th 😁 this is a great buy. I'm also very tempted here.

I think the 3D printing world is about to make another pivot forward. This is prolly an inventory dump strategy to make room for all the good stuff coming!

Latest and greatest usually comes with a higher price tag. Just saying not everyone needs the best of the best to get started in this hobby.

I don't think so, Creality just released the K2 pro, this is still their budget printer that shares a lot of things with the k2 series.
The next evolution may be to move to multi tool head printers, but that's going to be at a greater cost and would be outside the the market range for a budget printer.

I bought the refurb version of this on a whim a few weeks ago for $379 - 15% coupon, or $322 and I'm happy with my purchase. https://www.ebay.com/itm/357421351668 (out of stock at the moment)

The printer is better than I expected. I've only printed PLA, but just about everything's worked and the prints are on par with my K1 Max and K1C.

I looked at it as a CFS with a free Hi printer. I'm glad I get to play with a CFS for cheap. I'm still working out the kinks--SUNLU 195mm spools are a bitch--but I've only printed one multicolor model, and I was blown away with how much filament is pooped out and how long it takes to print. Nothing I hadn't known about beforehand, but you really need to experience it to "appreciate" the downsides.

I have used the CFS for more simple things like printing a layer or two in different colors, and that seems to work well. Also, printing several small objects, each in a different color.

I look forward to using it to continue printing from another spool of the same filament when the first one runs out.

Basically, I've learned that the CFS is useful if you temper your expectations, but I'm in no rush to buy another for my other printers.

This is a great price on a brand new HI Combo. It's a good introduction to the Creality ecosystem and the cheapest way to try a CFS.

I wouldn't want it as my only printer, but it could be a great first printer and it's an excellent addition to a Creality K1-series printer.

If you don't want or need the CFS, a refurbished K1C for $240 is a great price on a great printer. I'm trying to convince myself to not buy another st that price. https://www.ebay.com/itm/357323914530
