Option 1: Dual Nat (just plug it in and go).
Option 2: They can help you set up a passthrough.
Both worked fine for me w/ ASUS routers in mesh mode. Obviously option #2 is preferred but did plenty of WFH, gaming, etc. before they figured out how to passthrough.
Depending on your gateway but most of them have a pseudo "bridge" mode that works reasonably well with these routers for home users
Does anyone have any experience running mesh on an AT&T fiber router? Not sure if it's even possible without extensive configuration of a private network.

The AT&T fiber box does not have a passthrough mode, which is super annoying. But you can disable most stuff manually to make it passthrough-adjacent (and avoid double NAT issues).
To do this, go to (router), Firewall / IP Passthrough / Allocation Mode and set it to Passthrough. I set the mode to DHCPS-fixed and passthrough the MAC from the UDMP.
Works great.
