I haven't followed the prices recently but I'm surprised the 77" C5 is only $160 (or ~10%) more than the C4. The C5 is noticeably brighter, according to rtings.

Under $2k for a 77 inch C5, quite compelling. Curious what prices will be in November.

I'm guessing all of the G4 77 are just about sold out everywhere.

I've been eying both the 77" C4 and s90D (leaning C4) and the two best deals that I found are either at microcenter, where each TV is $1,500 new, or at Costco where it's $1800, but comes with a 5-year warranty. Right now I'm leaning towards Costco because with the 4% cash back via the Costco Visa and exec membership, it would then essentially be around 200 bucks more to have the warranty coverage

What's it cost to add a couple years warranty at MC?

That one at microcenter at $1500 seems to be refubished. I just got one at costco, but I'm not sure how good the allstate warranty actually is though. It dosen't cover burn in. It's supposedly worth $100. I dont think this tv will be worth much in 3-5 year anyway, so I dont really care about the extended warranty. It's nice though. Lot's of reasonable options.

make sure there is a serial number on the back of the tv or else warranty will be voided
