How does this one compare to the pentagon shaped detail sander? Same thing with a round head? Can I buy a round surface to swap in when if that's useful instead of the entire tool?

Not a bad deal for two batteries, but I wish it was hackable or tool-only for less.

Looks like the tool-only version comes with a free battery and is hackable down to $120

Sell batteries on marketplace or somewhere?

Now that's tempting. Was hoping for $100 tool only, but considering it's the Fuel version, I might still pull the trigger.

Definitely an option, just more of a headache than I'd prefer especially given how frequent "hackable" deals for Milwaukee come around.

The M12 detail sander and this one are kind of apples and oranges. This guy does a comparison on the merits of each: https://youtu.be/w16lM6liiFg

Sorry, but can someone point me to details on the "hacking" for MKE tools?

The idea is that you only pick up part of the combo deal. When home depot power tools have a "free" bonus tool/battery or multiple box combo, you can pick up only part of the deal and home depot will refund you for the rest after so many days. When you get to the check out page, there should be a line item breakdown of each part of the combo/deal if it's hackable.
