That's a greater chance of breaking them especially if they're older brittle ones. This tool evenly applies pressure over the whole clip to remove easier, less chance of possibly breaking.

it helps take off the little clips that basically hold entire cars together these days.

not sure how many exterior panels use these. Interiors pieces more common with the clips for sure.

I've never used one of these (did not know it existed). Does it actually work better than the tools that look like a flat head screwdriver with a V notch in the middle?

Link to one of the other tools. Hopefully some one will answer your question.

hard part of using these is getting the tool into position.

If it's easy to do so, usually can just pop with a screwdriver easily enough.

Also, having a large assortment of these is more practical. Just try to pop with the screwdriver/tool that's handy. If it breaks, oh well, $0.10 part to replace.

The wheel well cover is held by tabs.My local store was OOS. Too bad. I was willing to spend 5 bucks to check if it works well and saves me time. I'll stick with the crooked screwdriver with the V notch

In a pinch, yes… but you risk snapping the head off and then it's a pain in the butt

Crazy, I just watched a video a couple of days ago where a mechanic was using these and complained about how cheaply made they were, having to bend them back into shape, and then this deal pops up. This deal has me looking for a set of these from a more reputable brand.
