Alright guys thumbs this up. DO THIS. you literally go to samsung online in the web-browser. you add the one you want and youll also see the watch 7 trade in where it dosent show up in the app. Ok now, youve added the watch 8 and traded in the 7 in the web-browser without applying the coupons in the thread. Go to the APP and APPLY both coupons and youll see the good prices everyone is talking about. Youre welcome

Used my wife's EDU acct and I'm now seeing $110.49 for Watch7 to Watch8 upgrade. Not low enough for me to upgrade from 7 to 8

Think I may have figured it out. If I switch to the 40 LTE version, I see the Watch 7 in the trade in list. With wifi version, highest is Watch 5.

so actually, just used the shop samsung app instead and was able to trade in a gw7 to a wifi/bt gw8 44mm for $67.99.

Yeah I think I'll wait, even though there's a good cash back offer right now and edu that'd bring it to ~$40. Think the costs would eventually average out the same if I upgrade from 7 to 10/11, vs 7 to 8 then 8 to 10/11. Samsung screwed me on my last trade in so I want to buy from them as little as possible.

Edit: I'm talking about 44mm btw

Traded in a watch 4 and paid $131.74 + tax = 155.48 to get the Watch 8.
I bought the watch 4 refurbished many years ago for about 100 i think.
will pair up well with the S25 Ultra that I just bought.

This is how Samsung does things. Deals don't get offered until after an initial buying period where people that don't want to wait pay higher prices. It's always better to wait to upgrade with Samsung.

Of course the longer you wait the better chance of a lower price with most tech.
