viofo dash cam saved my butt a couple months ago! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_embCPUXa8

the other driver told the officer that she did not know if her light was red or green, she was just following traffic! what traffic do you see lol?

if I didn't have the dash cam footage it would have been a he said/she said situation, I checked for cameras on the nearby buildings but there was only one and they showed me that it was currently not working smh. my 2015 Lexus IS 350 F Sport was totaled, only had 83k miles too

Great camera from reputable dash cam company. I've owned 4 different Viofos for close to 10 years now starting with A119v1 and none have failed yet. They're still installed in my 4 vehicles and going strong. I'd recommend picking up the CPL lens as well to improve picture quality during bright sunny days due to glare from windshield and dash. This is their normal sales price and was also $170 during Prime Day.

I purchased mine in July 2024 for $160. Given the rate of inflation and added tariffs, I'm not sure if they'll drop to that price again.

Is there an option to keep rear facing camera on if engine is turned off? I'm wanting to put the rear facing on the dash looking towards driver juuuuust in case of a pull-over situation.

TIA

I just purchased this earlier this month. Install was easy. As usual amazon refusing price adjustment so I will be returning and re-purchasing to save about $50

You would need the hardwired kit to keep power on when the car is off.

The rear facing camera that comes with this kit is meant to be used for the rear of the car, not the interior. You would need the 3 channel kit since that comes with the interior camera. The interior camera has IRs so it can see in the dark.

Any way to add an interior camera? Looks like there's a port for it on the front camera.

Thanks! Can you share where you got this information? I'm looking for informative diagram on how to route the wire from the back of a car/SUV all the way to front for longer/extended vehicles. TIA!
I've emailed Viofo directly for longer cables because it was necessary to correctly tuck it in for an SUV. I think they sent it for free because the longer one I bought off Amazon didn't work.

Yes, if you already bought it, buy this interior camera below:
https://www.viofo.com/products/vi...qHEALw_wcB

If you haven't bought it yet, just buy the 3 channel one for $199 I linked above.

Looks like this model is the lowest resolution camera they sell, 1440P, for those who have them, what do you think about the picture quality?

I haven't tried these but 1440p is pretty darn good. Last cam I bought many many years ago only did 720p. 720p is pretty much useless for catching license plate numbers.

Check the amazon reviews for videos and pictures of it in use. Videos of it look pretty amazing IMO

I've been looking to replace my Vavadash cam for a while and there are some good review videos out there, don't be fooled by the 'lowest resolution' bit the video is some of the best out there. Here is one that goes through many cameras in real life scenarios https://youtu.be/uLjGazIxjEA?si=Anc_aREVP4P-z6mQ You can see the Viofo at teh 6 minute mark, it is the model down from this that doesn't have the rear camera but same 1440p resolution.

$170 is the normal sales price. What should I be waiting for? I am looking to equip 5 cars with dual dash cam.
this is the one to get, at this price. I've had mine running 3+ years and no issues.

FWIW I picked it up for $159 during prime day

The Amazon page says 6 meters which sounds about right. I'm sure VIOFO's website lists it as well if you want to double check. If I was to get this for my pickup I'd probably go down the A-pillar, under the kick panel/door sill things, and back up the C pillar to get it to the back glass. 18+ ft is more than enough for that. Maybe if you've got a cargo van, suburban, wagoneer it might be somewhere close, but even then I doubt you'd run out of cable. IDK about this internal rear, but with the external rear there are longer cable options which for that one when I get it would make it possible to mount on the rear bumper of my crew cab dually. So check VIOFO's website if you don't think 6M would be enough cable on this specific setup, maybe they sell longer cables for the interior rear cams too.
