the $449 one was from March and long dead. The $568 refurb deal you posted is dead and more expensive than the $510 I just posted and neither is it sold from BestBuy for easy returns.

This has been as low as $449 for brand new, and then around this price point too:

$500 for a refurb here, is not a deal.

I just mentioned few of the links I before. This has been on best buy multiple times too. It's the deal editors here who like to keep eBay on top whenever a deal makes it to frontpage. So, that's not an argument at all.
$568 isn't much more than $510 and spending $50 more to have a brand new device with peace of mind of not having the possibility of a return is better than getting an open-box by saving not so much. Plus I've linked best buy links too of this being cheaper. That's just my opinion, maybe this would be good for others.
I just wanted to point out how it's been cheaper for brand new and even more so for open-box.

I got this on the last Slickdeals for 346 open box fair from Best Buy. It was surprisingly in good shape for Fair, I was expecting some scratches but it came with laptop and Asus charger and no scratches. Looked new open box.

The laptop was already registered to someone else but Asus helped get it registered under my name for warranty (took about a week with emails back and forth as well as pictures back and forth).

Laptop is really good, my main laptop for personal home user. Plenty fast for what I do which is web browsing (Chrome and Edge and Firefox all at the same time) as well as Outlook / Excel / Word. Plus things running in the background like RDP, VPN, etc. If you are hooking it up to a Thunderbolt docking station be aware this CPU / GPU combo supports a max of 3 monitors - so 2 external plus the laptop display or 3 external and no laptop display.

Just ordered an open box fair for $348 as well, pickup tomorrow *crosses fingers*, almost picked up the Vivobook Flip from Costco today for $699, glad I held off.

*Edit - Picked up this morning, at first I was shocked it didn't come in retail box (Always got retail box when buying open box, even if box was a little beatup) But after updating Windows (took like 1.5hrs) everything seems to be fine, no damage or visible wear but fingerprints like crazy and only came with a used power cord. How do you guys check for past battery usage and such? Mine had the battery drained to 0%.

If this was the 256v or 258v I'd go for it.

This is @ 226v is luke warm.

Highly confident we'll hit this or better by holidays.

It's not 600 nits, full field is like 100 something.

600 is like a dynamic rating. realistically, it's probably around 200 nits effective in real scenes.

This is low end laptop. Don't expact too much. And type c port is unstable. Can't fix it with software. It's the hardware or may be both.

I would agree this is lukewarm.
As a reference point, I picked up the 16" version of this with the Core Ultra 9, RTX 3050, 24GB and 2TB drive last month for $454 BB open box.

PIcked up one at that $449 price and it's been a great laptop for me just for general browsing. Super long battery life and I dig the screen.

Ugh waited so long for this deal and finally bought hp Omni book last week for 477. Can't return as I'm out of country for a month . The screen on this is so much better.
