yup, rear calipers with integrated parking brake that you have to screw the piston in... do that with some wood and a c-clamp. You'll be buying new calipers

This is a great deal - appears to be a standard Chinese-made kit that has a bunch of different rebrands at difft prices. This kit is essentially the same kit as the Amazon #1 seller from Orion Motor Tech (OMT) which is twice as much as the OP's kit. It's the same kit, but the Orion is a 24 pc kit (2 more pcs) because they throw in a pair of "S" hook brake caliper hangers. Personally, I use a short HFT bungee cord (with the plastic ends) to hang my calipers when I'm doing brake jobs.

I have been changing rotors/pads on my various Audis for the last 20 years or so using the old pad and channel locks (and shop rags to prevent any damage) which works, but is slightly a PITA because they are the screw in pistons. I never got a tool because of that, spending that much on something I use once every couple of years would be goofy, but for $13, that'll work Smilie. Thanks OP, repped!

Thanks for sharing! While I always enjoyed doing battle for half an hour+ per caliper with C-clamps and a crow bar, it's time I embraced sanity. Ordered.

Would be worthwhile if it included the electronic parking brake piston adjuster/retractor tool.

Bought this exact set two years ago for $4 more, I've only used it once but is a lifesaver for screw in calipers.

It also appears several commentors have no idea what screw in calipers are and how they need to be reset.

I use one of these for the regular calipers: https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-2910...124&sr=1-4 which is unfortunately necessary for Toyota front brake calipers.

I thought so too until I bought a Passat with an integrated parking brake.. You need the tool to rotate the piston, screw it in as you compress. You can borrow the tool at a parts store but this is a great deal. On a standard caliper you don't even need a c-clamp, just and old pad and something to pry with. I'm a redneck too.

I was just thinking, for me to drive to the parts store to borrow this would be $12 in gas for two trips. Thanks OP.

Clearly you haven't dealt with the parking brake integrated into the caliper because your method would most certainly lead to damage.
