Temps are really subjective. No one ever talks about ambient temperature. For example, if you're running your PC in a 80 degree room and I'm running mine in a 70 degree room then we can have the exact same computers but your system will always run warmer than mine.

3 fans are alway better for cooling, but to be honest, 70 c for gpu running full load is perfectly fine.

It's already been said once, but 70C is perfectly normal for a gpu under load. Afaik most cards throttle at above 80C

as everyone else's noted. running this gpu at 70c is fine. but if you dont want 70c heating up your case inside and feeding that air into your cpu aio radiator, then 70c is not good

and depending on your configuration and tastes it could cause your radiator to run loud, which could also cause your aio to die earlier than expected or atleast make clicking sounds earlier.

I doubt you'll see throttling of a 9800x3d or any other gaming cpu, the amd 9000 series at 8cores and below are very efficient and cool.

but if you bought this for LLM ai generating and have paired it with a 9950 or 9950x3d then even with a 420mm radiator you'll atleast for sure have atleast temporary loud noise during the begining phases of generating especially if you offload to cpu alot of the earlier processing features.

but I doubt you'll see any throttling since most of the work will be done on the gpu.

The way that no tax is being charged to some states (accidentally even where the law requires it) plus the rebate and MSI member discount and 2% CB, this is the best I've seen in a long time. Scored one.

PNY 5070 was $499.99 also with no tax outside california

Unless you have a blower style GPU cooler, every GPU is going to "heat up the inside of your case". Cause your radiator to run loud? Make clicking sounds and die earlier??? LMFAO

SD strikes again with misinformation related to PC hardware. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

I prefer spending a lot less money with more VRAM for professional (non-"influencer" and definitely not gamer nerd) creative use.

MSI may have gotten better but ~10 years ago I submitted several MIR's to which all were declined. One was for the receipt saying St. and not Street as in my request. I would not account for the MIR as part of the price.

5070 could be a better choice and it uses X16 not X8 5060's and Ti's. 5.0x8 is ok but bottleneck 4.0x8 and 3.0x8

Also, people should be undervolting their gpus and not using stock settings. Can probably get this thing to 60c while maintaining stock performance, and you save money on power bill as well.

Where'd you find the 3060? Or was that a one off

Local seller, i think it was marketplace (or offerup), can't remember. It was easy to find few months ago. I got lucky, card was brand new never used, the guy had no idea and he had accidentally opened the box, and people did not want to buy from him it seems. it was risky I know, but got lucky.
