Agreed, bought one last year and the powder in the weight bags started coming out after a few months. Just an fyi it's a black powder coated mix. Stains still won't come out. Buyer beware.
great for the price (i think i paid double) it uses sandbags, i use mine for rucking maybe 50 times by now, and it's holding up well. i have not had to machine wash mine (with the sandbags removed of course) so i can't say how it will hold up to that since i don't use mine over the summer.
Had one for the past year and a half. Paid $20 at the time.
Definitely worth $13.
Just shipping a 20lb item will cost you at least $20.
Things I don't like about it:
- you have to put it on overhead, instead of a zip-up "vest" style. So this will mess up your hairdo, you have to lift it overhead and drop it down the right way.
- the velcro part will stick to its the borders/edges on other parts of the vest and cause that material to get torn up.
- it can sometimes get partially 'unlatched' if you are in the right position and the weight pulls on the velcro a certain way, it can kind of get dislodged.
I'm a very very picky person so these are details. It works as a weighted vest, or simply as soft weights I now throw in a backpack for doing pull-ups.

I think I paid $15 for this just over a year ago. It's pretty good. Slightly uncomfortable but not so much I want to stop wearing it and It could be because I'm rail thin and don't have much natural padding. At this price it would be a no brainer knowing what I know about it. I'd buy another one for the extra weights but they already fit so tightly in the pouches, I don't really see a good way of cramming in more. Maybe I'll just buy one and see what happens.

I plan to just use it for Pull-ups and push-ups once in a while, do you think it's a matter of extreme usage or environmental wear and tear? I'm 5'11 165lb, thin build, so I don't think I'll be stretching it.

I have this from several years ago and I have never had the aforementioned problems. I haven't really had to wash it I dry it in the sun and no issues. The black dust is probably metal shavings which is normal for these weights to get more density. The vest is more substantial in the torso than others but this makes it more comfortable since the arms are free. The pocket in the phone area is awesome for a small phone.

Great look for when you get deployed to the suburbs and have to survive the jungles of chick filet with only your yeti gear and Walmart palate to keep you alive
(Seriously though, sorta uncomfortable for a man bra but worth it)
