This was what my mom and all of my friends moms used to make tacos. As a kid I thought they tasted pretty good, so if you're serving kids, this is ok I guess. Now I just buy spices and make my own seasoning blends. Some chili powder, some cumin, some fresh onions and garlic and some salt and pepper and I have my own taco blend.

Ortega isn't bad, but after a series of taste tests, McCormick taco seasoning is my favorite. (not the premium version with corn meal, but the regular or low-sodium versions)
