The controller is far superior for other stuff.
I bought PS5 and Xbox Series remotes on launch day, thinking I would use them all the time. I didn't end up using them as media players, and neither does anybody else in my 6-person household. I mostly just open the battery compartment up every few months to make sure it isn't starting to get corroded.

What is the use case here? If you want to use the xbox as a media center?

The One S is a cheap way to play 4K blu rays but not everyone is familiar with gamepads.

It's for when the technologically illiterate want to watch a movie on "the Nintendo".
